Dear patients,

according to current hospital hygiene regulations of the Iatros Clinic in consensus with all operative clinics in Munich, it was decided that only patients with a negative Covid-19 test not older than three days (i.e. 72h) can be operated on.

Please find out where a PCR Covid-19 test is performed at your place of residence. According to the homepage of the Kassenärztliche Vereinigung and the Bundesanzeiger (Federal Gazette) dated 14.10.2020, the test is free of charge for every German citizen who visits a hospital as a patient. You should also talk to your general practitioner about this, because after a test has been carried out you must immediately go into quarantine and need a sick note.

Clarify how the result will be communicated to you. You need to have a written report of your test on the day of your surgery. It is possible that your results will be faxed directly to the Iatros Klinik. The fax number is: 089/46135699. Please make sure that this is faxed reliably.

The anesthesia consultation at the Iatros Clinic must have taken place before the test! Pre-anaesthetic consultations by telephone may be offered – please check our homepage regularly to see if there are any changes to the procedure.

If it is not possible for you to have a Covid-19 test performed at your place of residence, there is the option of having a quick test performed at our practice one day before surgery.

It is only possible to have a test performed in our practice one day before the operation in the morning. Please make an appointment by telephone.

After the test in our practice, you must immediately go into quarantine. This means that you will only travel to and from the practice on foot, by bicycle or in your own car and will be in home quarantine until the surgery appointment.

The regulations around COVID-19 are currently very dynamic. Therefore we ask for your understanding for any inconvenience. First and foremost, these measures serve to protect our patients and medical staff and to prevent further spread of the virus.

Unfortunately, no accompanying persons can come to the clinic. You will of course be helped by the nursing staff with your luggage the next day and you will be escorted to the exit where your accompanying person will welcome you.

Please ensure that you comply with the AHAL rules at all times.

Important information:
For all patients who have a surgery appointment on a Monday or Tuesday:
We will contact you by phone in time to discuss the procedure with you. Please wait until we call you. (If you would like to be informed in advance, please send us an email to: mb@lipocura.de with the subject: surgery appointment Monday/Tuesday. Please be patient because of the high demand it takes a while to process all requests)

Of course we will keep you informed about the latest developments on our homepage.

Once again for you the most important points as a summary:

  1. Please note that an anesthetic consultation must be carried out before the test.
  2. Where can I get tested at my place of residence?
  3. How long does it take to get the result?
  4. How will I be informed about the result? You need a written result!
  5. Do I have a sick note from the time the Covid-19 test is taken until the surgery appointment?
  6. Have I prepared everything for my quarantine? Did I buy food? How do I get home after the test? How do I get to the clinic in the morning?
  7. Write a two-line letter and bring it to the surgery appointment, stating on oath that you have been in quarantine since the test was taken.

Important!

Quarantine means no use of public transport for the way home from the time of testing. Until the time of the operation you should only leave the house for walks or outdoor sports, you should not meet friends/acquaintances or relatives outside your own household in the house and you should also follow the AHA+ L rules inside the house.

We wish you all the best for your operation.

Stay healthy!

Sincerely, your Lipocura Team
