Professional career

In 2001, I completed my studies in human medicine at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf. I then started my medical career with a focus on surgery as a resident at various renowned clinics. In 2012, after passing the examination, I was recognized as a specialist in plastic and aesthetic surgery. In this position I was employed until 2013, before I was able to fulfill the dream of my own private practice in Düsseldorf and a branch office in Berlin in 2014. In parallel, I also worked part-time as a senior physician at the Helios Clinics in Oberhausen and Emil von Behring, Berlin, from 2015 to 2019, and as a specialist at the Lucerne Clinic in Lucerne, Switzerland, since September 2020.

During my medical career so far, I have been able to gain versatile experience in inpatient as well as outpatient work and act comprehensively in the field of plastic and aesthetic surgery. With regular advanced training in the field of surgical and non-surgical aesthetic medicine, I am constantly expanding my knowledge.

Experience and work in the field of lipedema

In my work as a plastic and aesthetic surgeon, I have developed a profound understanding of body contouring and corrective surgery as well as thorough lipedema surgery and have been able to help many patients with long suffering. I became particularly interested in the surgical treatment of lipedema, so I have been supporting the medical team of LIPOCURA® since 2021.
