Is the disease curable?

So far, no. Lipedema will most likely not reoccur, but only in the suctioned areas. However, it is impossible to prevent lipedema from appearing in previously untreated areas. For example, after liposuction of the legs, it is impossible to prevent the arms from being affected in the future. In this case, the only solution is to perform another liposuction in the newly affected areas.
