Dr. med Tankred Heimerl

Professional career

Born in beautiful Hamburg, I began my medical studies in 2005 at the renowned University Medical Centre Hamburg Eppendorf and completed them in 2013 at Justus Liebig University Giessen, where I also gained my doctorate in 2016. My further training as a specialist in general and visceral surgery took me to the academic teaching hospital of the University of Giessen, the Asklepios Klinik Lich with PD Dr T. Schwandner and Dr J. Schabram, where I was recognised as a specialist in visceral surgery in May 2020 and have also worked as an emergency physician since 2017.

After returning to Hamburg at the end of 2020, I worked in various management positions at the Hamburg Vaccination Centre until March 2022, including as Medical Director of the laboratory and vaccine production. After my postgraduate training at the Clinic for Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery at the Ameos Klinikum St. Clemens Oberhausen, NRW under Chief Physician Dr Michael Strelow, I worked in my own private practice in the field of aesthetic botulinum and filler therapy from April 2023 until I joined LIPOCURA®.
